While I like the kind of mc that is cunning and morally ambiguous, I kinda like this mc even tho it bothers me a lot the fact that he choose as practice target people that might kill him and fight them with their own weapons, I mean it is the mc style but honestly it would be good if he has a contingency plan in case he is about to die and start taking things a little more seriously but apart from that I’m really liking the novel. Some suggestions for Devil fruits could be a zoan that make the user a horned dung beetle, it is an insect that call pull more than thousand times its own weight so the user would have the strongest potencial on pure physical strength. Another could be a fruit that allows the user to control blood, it would be a normal Paramecia and the powers could allow the user to regenerate wounds and enter a mode similar to luffy’s gear second but without the restrictions and when the fruit awakens he could control other people’s blood. By the way since you are also expanding the world you could add different weapons made from seastone like bullets staff and nets to capture Devil fruit users, I mean it would make much more sense for marines to use those kind of weapons to fight against Devil fruit users since most of their members don’t user armament haki

Don’t worry his “training” phase with bounty hunters ends with Ruben. He still wants to fight skilled OpenTable and master different weapons though. Even he realized his own faults after fighting in the way he did. He won’t be going in half cocked again. I like the ideas for the fruits. Though I think the beetle one belongs to one of the Tontattas. Thanks for the review and for reading.
Well what can I say, while I don’t really agree with that fighting style it looks kinda awesome lol. I just checked what you said and yea you right the Tontattas did get a beetle zona but it was rhinoceros beetle, but taking into account how strong the user of the fruit I proposed would be it could be something like a mythological zoan model sacred beetle (since there’s a god that is represented as a beetle which is kepri and Egyptian god) but I’m guessing your mc isn’t going to use a Devil fruit, at least I don’t think he would need one after all you already gave him a power that might be stronger than some of them which is his telekinesis so he would only need to develop it. And being honest I’m really curious to see what kind of adventures the mc is going to have and if he would end up creating his own force in the future, so keep the good work brother

That sounds pretty cool honestly. And yeah James will continue to develop his telekinesis as he travels, but that’s something that will only grow stronger over time since he needs to take it slow, so as not to damage his brain. As for weather he will eat a devil fruit, you’ll just have to keep reading to find out. Though let’s be honest, if a One Piece fan were to find a devil fruit would they really be able to hold themselves back? I know I wouldn’t. Though whether he eats one or not he will definitely continue to hone his martial arts alongside his soul abilities. Either way James’s path will be his own, so you can bet it will be unique.
