there is actually a TV series named quantum leap. if never watched it you might Google. I thought this was a fanfiction of it. I was like umm someone is as old as me? lol

ya this scientist tried to create some kind of dimensional travel or something but it didn't work. instead it sent his consciousness into bodies of people in the past and he had to correct whatever the problem was as in save someone or help someone and when he did he would be transported to the next situation . think it was the first show on TV that had gender bending , he would be moved into women also. was funny because he would have to learn how to walk in high heels. when anyone saw him he looked like the person but when he looked in a mirror he would see himself. it was all about trying to leap home and they played it as if the next leap could be to his real body.
