The MC is genuinely an idiot, and the worlds he ends up in are manipulated in such a way as to allow his rampant stupidity to go unpunished. Each "world" that the MC visits are a poor caricature of the reality painted for us by the original authors of the works used. The characters contained have had their motivations and depth torn from them, leaving a husk, less of a character in a play, and more of a loose collection of character traits you slapped a name on. I just can't suspend my disbelief that you can go into a ninja village, spout out world breaking secrets, expose knowledge of highly confidential information, and get a pat on the head before going out drinking with your new ninja buddies who have known you for less than a day, met you in highly suspect circumstances, and still trust you for some bizarre reason. At the very bare minimum any remotely sane leader would have held you in confinement before having your brain probed the instant you mentioned the Nine Tails was in the village.
