Just so that there's context, both Goku and Genma can technically be considered equals...Goku is just more physically powerful while Genma is more technique oriented; Genma is essentially the Joseph Joestar to Goku's Johnathan, he might not be as strong as Goku but he is capable of manifesting a wider range of techniques that can even out the field which is why he uses techniques like the Lightning Surprise or limit the drawbacks of the Kaioken

Yeah everyone always does Naruto as the Mc, I know it’s not entirely original but I wanted to see how this kind of thing would pan out

He CAN, but he also knows that every second counts and being dropped from a world where something else could lurk around a corner, he's not exactly eager to drop his forms unless he has to
