why doesn't it? she sees someone who she consider her family/relative and loves her. seeing her being hugged by some unknown dude when she really seem drunk wouldn't make her react that way just cause the guy says something like knowing her or helping her? bruh, your thinking makes no sense. it's natural for us to try to protect someone dear to us.

bruh, i made sure to mention that ash and zephyr were at the very least, an acquaintance and misty is a gym leader, so who the heck wouldn't know her? unless she's one of those gym leaders who aren't official and aren't famous but she is.
