This is a totally fair review and I see your point. There were other readers who thought the same, though I would like to clarify a few things. The warlock doesn't lie about his identity because he sees no reason to. Being a warlock isn't a secret of his, its just who he is. Since warlocks can see people's negative energy (umbra), they can instantly tell when someone is lying. For that same reason, Dante is not used to lying, as he never had to. Either way, I don't want to get too spoilery in the comments, but I definitely see why this part can be a bit frustrating for new readers. Maybe If I had explained the warlock's POV in earlier chapters it wouldn't feel as annoying. Still, thanks for giving it a read and for the fair review. I do appreciate some good feedback!

Not at all. My other novel is close to ending so I focused more time on that. I like this novel too much to drop it lol
