I agree with this review :0 to be fair tho, a lot of the stuff it does use comes from Lord of the Mysteries. I feel like a lot of Chinese novels are taking LotM inspiration these days. For example, the part where people with failed promotions becomes monsters… It’s slightly more system-y with the character cards tho
