Other farm crystals have certain aspects of splicing that they are better at. Diamond and cube, spell casting. sphere, splicing. Star however is not only good at all aspects of splicing, it excels at them. differences are kind of hard to verbalize so I mostly alude to them based on what the splicer us good at.

Not immortal just locked out of regular space and time. They donx̌t age because they are locked out of the regular time stream.
