That's an interesting analogy, but Leviathan and Yamata no Orochi are different curses. But that's a pretty cool idea considering the story behind the Kusanagia sword, I could have worked with that if it had come to mind earlier, but the story has already reached an advanced point for me to add such a powerful weapon.
When Nanami and the others were facing Jogo, Itadori had just defeated Choso and had expanded his domain to devour Haruta and found the curse right after he burned them. He didn't get involved in the event, and consequently didn't prevent Nanami and Maki from being burned.
You can see it that way, no problem. I only put him at that level because he hasn't mastered reverse cursed energy and doesn't have such a perfect domain. As you said, he also has no means of defending himself against a guaranteed blow. His reserves of cursed energy aren't exaggerated either, which doesn't allow him to be a walking cannon of power. That's why, personally, I equate him with 11-12 fingers in general terms.
Using Sukuna's fingers as a metric, Itadori would be like 11-12 fingers.
When I opened this novel, that's exactly what happened, and then I realized that I had found the peak. The idea of the harem seems a bit contrived, but it doesn't detract from the story. A well-constructed novel, great writing and an engaging plot.
