a lot of that is in the movies. Hermione in the books is way kind of skittish and a stickler for rules. a lot of what you see from the movies is taken from Ron's character. telling Harry about the word mudblood? Ron. It made no sense for Hermione to tell Harry what it meant since she is a muggleborn, and does NOT know everything about the wizarding world. Standing in front of Harry when faced with a convicted psycho (Sirius Black, not that they knew he was innocent)? that was also ron. In the books, Ron is a character that is human and relatable. He has his faults and, yeah, he is prone to bouts of jealousy, but just like a lot of people in the world, he goes through one of the greatest character developments, and becomes a better person. as for why Harry does NOT deserve Hermione, I would say that it has something to do with his tolerance for Hermione when they argue. when Hermione and Ron argue, it feels like watching an old married couple. when Hermione and Harry argue, it's like watching a divorced couple. For a example, an excerpt from the book: He opened his eyes, panting, his forehead throbbing. He had passed out against the side of the tent, had slid sideways down the canvas, and was sprawled on the ground. He looked up at Hermione, whose bushy hair obscured the tiny patch of sky visible through the dark branches high above them. “Dream,” he said, sitting up quickly and attempting to meet Hermione’s glower with a look of innocence. “Must’ve dozed off, sorry.” “I know it was your scar! I can tell by the look on your face! You were looking into Vol —” “Don’t say his name!” came Ron’s angry voice from the depths of the tent. “Fine,” retorted Hermione. “You-Know-Who’s mind, then!” “I didn’t mean it to happen!” Harry said. “It was a dream! Can you control what you dream about, Hermione?” “If you just learned to apply Occlumency —” But Harry was not interested in being told off; he wanted to discuss what he had just seen. “He’s found Gregorovitch, Hermione, and I think he’s killed him, but before he killed him he read Gregorovitch’s mind and I saw —” “I think I’d better take over the watch if you’re so tired you’re falling asleep,” said Hermione coldly. “I can finish the watch!” “No, you’re obviously exhausted. Go and lie down.” She dropped down in the mouth of the tent, looking stubborn. Angry, but wishing to avoid a row, Harry ducked back inside.
That is terrible
I don't know if it was the book or movies, but I feel Snape's only redeeming quality is the fact he sort of protected the students as headmaster when the death eaters took over Hogwarts
I thought James had hazel eyes???
wait . . . I thought Tiki was black
this whole chapter feels like a recap
Wait, so what's the point of making an OC if he basically just disappears?

No need to yell. The boy is still eleven and he's raised by the Dursleys. Hardly doubt they taught him anything to help feed into the idea that Harry is a troublemaker
