I don't really normally write reviews, however I saw a lot of one star reviews which in my opinion is a bit of injustice towards this novel. What motivated me to write this review is that the author did not delete the negative reviews (like other authors on this app) which I really appreciate. Now on the actual review: The story is not bad as we follow the rise of a person from the slums to the top of the world. The main character and the original supporting characters are well done in my opinion. My issues with this novel ar3: 1- The MC's impact on canon is minimal (especially when he transmigrated a long time before the canon starts). 2- His paranoia at the beginning of the novel to hide himself from the hunter association. This does not make sense as there is no prior indication that the association targets unofficial Nen users. 3- The long flashback which spanned around 35% of the novel. A flashback should be short and add context to the story, not tell the story from a flashback as all the tension disappear. Overall an average story that could be much better 3.8/5.

I don't usually rate or write reviews for the stories I've read. However, this is hands down the best HP fanfic and one of the best stories on this app.

Death... and me is one of the rare stories that pulls you from the start. The concept is interesting with 2 MCs. The MCs are well developed, characterized and outright hilarious. I felt like I'm reading a story where the main characters are a tame Fang Yuan from "Reverend Insanity" and a tame Klein Moretti from "Lord of Mysteries". This is saying a lot as these are my top two novels. The story pacing and development was great until the chp 500~ish where the author suddenly decided to nuke everything. If you power through and continue reading for a while you'll get used to it and after some time the story pick up some pace and start to become interesting again. That until around chp 1700/1800~ish where the author suddenly decide to introduce the concept of "Void Shattering Pill" where a five years old kid takes the pill and will be at a cultivation higher than the 2 MCs that at this point are 100 years old geniuses. If the pill for example allows to directly reach the peak of Nascent Soul realm that at least will make sense as they still have to find their path. With this they will be at an advantage compared to the other territories due to faster cultivation/resources (Not 16 Years old two realms higher than the MCs). It felt like F U to the fans that stuck with the story. I forced myself to complete the "Free Continent" Arc. The second main issue is the story is dragged way too much. We have like 50 Chps of the MCs joining a sect where we have exams, new characters, etc... just to get information and leave. The cultivation speed of the MCs is defying to other characters but still they are way too slow compared to what the MCs are facing. Due to the above issues I don't think I will continue reading anymore. Even with this I cannot give the story a lower rating as the concept is genuinely interesting. I will still follow the author to check his new stories hopefully it will be better thought out from the start. Thanks.
