So he knows all about the lore and chooses "The Bloody Mist?" Sure, you might be a background character, potentially, but that seems like the most dangerous sort besides the Nine-Tails plotline.

Finally, a story that treats these creatures as animals instead of bright shiny friends that automatically want to be your ally. Wild pokemon in herds for protection, hunter prey dynamics, simply accepting that folks would eat such creatures without hesitation. The character is a tad bit jaded, to be fair, so if you don't like a pessimistic attitude and want sunshine and rainbows I'd recommend you stay clear. Though even with his bristly exterior, he hasn't been a complete monster (See his choices in the last few chapters as of this review). Thank the maker this doesn't seem to be one of those horribly mistranslated works that are a pain in the rear to read. Grammar looks good, on first reading, and there haven't been any moments where I've been confused with sentence structure or intent behind a wording. I'm looking forwards to more, especially to see if this lad starts mellowing out and/or starts to accept more folks into his life. With the large area of locales and plot lines that Pokémon can entail, we have a whole lot of world to explore.

He's done nothing but complain in every pokemon fanfiction from his post history. I'd ignore him. I for one find the story quite lovely and am eagerly awaiting the next chapter of both series you're doing. Don't let a singular picky individual ruin your mood.
