He won't be suppressing his instincts, however, because that'd mean completely disregarding them to an extent. I get where you're coming from but suppressing his instincts isn't the way to go. Coming to terms with them and not being controlled by them while at the same time being in tune with them is what I personally think is the right way to go.

Case and point being that picking the Hero Bloodline and Hanma Bloodline turned him from an average-looking skinny dude into a tall, handsome and muscular Chad. So, by picking Flugel he'd get genderbent because you can't be a Flugel and a male at the same time. Also, Heroes are OP. They can grow to be as strong as Gods in terms of PHYSICAL PROWESS alone. They're not just strong because of their weapons - that's the case for the mob-level Heroes, sure, but Heroes like Jin Toujou? They'd be strong regardless of whether they have a weapon or not. Put together with his Hanma Bloodline and he's as talented as a pure human can be in terms of physical growth, fighting and magic.
