The anime doesn't need to explain each line exactly, Shirou is better at designing Swords and Blades because his Origin is "Swords" that's all, the anime just shows the visualization while the novel has the whole story. So much so that each "arrow" of the Spirit EMIYA is in reality a modified sword.
