True I cant stand Daemon. Bro is to entitled and arrogant.

I agree Laena is the best choice. I dont want Jeyne Arryn, def. no Hightower, maybe he could be friends with Rhaenyra but you have already laid the foundation for him and Laena and I wouldnt worry about catering to readers as many times dumb suggestions are made that ruin the story. So far the plot has set up Daeron and Laena up perfectly for marriage and Laena was actually a good character, I cant stand the House of Dragons TV adaptation though.

Don't care. Bro, with my memories in this life and remembering how lame Jon seemed when he broke it off with Daenerys and how frustrating it was, I simply wouldnt care. Facing someone like Harren the Black with Diplomats is idiotic as he is truly a Tyrant, which means the only thing Aegon would achieve is the death of those diplomats. Aegon didnt mean a bloodless win for both sides, he wants a bloodless win for his side while annhilating the Ironman. If Aegon is smart he will eradicate the Iron Islanders completely as they will always be a thorn to westeros as their traditions and way of life is gained on the suffering of others. So Aegon likely meant use the Dragons to turn their army to ash and dont waste the blood of his men. You just gotta remember his opponent this time isnt a Stark, or a Gardener, but the most brutal Tyrant in Westerosi history, he was so brutal the castle was still cursed in a song of ice and fire era.
