Gloriana ruined this novel. I’ve never seen an author obliterate his own work in such an easily avoidable way. He literally went out of his way to make an annoying character and then imbeded that character into the heart of the story. Everything about her sucks. It’s genuinely tragic to read thousands of chapters into a book just to have it ruined for no reason.

Yeah Gloriana ruined the novel. When she is first introduced she was so annoying I couldn’t wait for her to be gone. When he first entertained the idea of dating her I thought it was a joke and the author couldn’t be serious. Why would you purposely make a character unbearably annoyiny only to have them marry the main character of your story? It’s completely backwards and tanks the novel.
