.....Yeah, probably. She definitely changed a lot from DB to DBZ, and even more from DBZ to DBS - a character development rivalled only by Vegeta and Bulma.... But not so much in the good way (imo).
I've just caught up to 275, and I have to say..... This was awful timing. I've thought this for the last 100-ish chapters, but in the more recent ones - especially the DXD part (which was amazing), it has improved. It still seems a little lower quality compared to the other of the author's works - feeling almost like a Chinese translation, but is still good and improving from the dip in quality (from what I could tell).
This bastard wants to steal my SSD. I SHALL NOT ALLOW IT!
This is coming from the guy that uses big-brain techniques to cheat his way into power.
Woah, this is actually hype af. I haven't been this excited for a fight since at least the fight against Kizaru, and even then - this is better.
..... I know it's a big part of the fanfic - making everyone kind of monkey-brained. Strong is hot, cultivator-style arrogance and background characters, and stubbornness - but it does feel like the OOC attitudes of some characters is getting too much. This may not be the best example, but it's the closest to one I can find immediately. Don't get me wrong, I love the fanfic and will definitely continue reading, regardless. But particularly with some characters, it does feel like it's becoming too much. Plus, the MC does seem to be losing personality - I get how it may be hard, with so many other-universe versions of him that act differently depending on their upbringing in their new life and those around them, but the MC used to be somewhat good - if cruel, killing only those that would cause harm on Sabaody archipelago, but now, all versions of him are at least of a neutral alignment, if not, slightly or entirely evil, with seemingly no cause for such a shift - apart from maybe becoming strong, so he can show his true self. It's kind of the same with the girls. Sure, bending their personalities slightly to have them get together is more than fine - but it seems every other girl he gets with all Masa's are through defeating them, then forcing them to have sex with him or die - basically assault, then they become another girl infatuated with him that follows along doing whatever he wants - more of a trophy than anything, not having many, if any meaningful interactions outside of sex - few thoughts, and almost no say in anything. I'm not saying I think it'd be better if they bossed around the MC like he's their manservant, but putting their foot down when he goes overboard or they disagree with something, or want to do something once in a while wouldn't hurt and would make them feel more like actual companions. I don't know, that's just my thoughts. Then again, I'm no writer - there's a reason why I haven't tried planning or writing anything over 1.5K words. Aside from that, I really like the fanfic - and am excited to see what happens with Masa in that Baki and the 3 girls (sister, police officer, yakuza boss) crossover world. It's rare to see a Baki fanfic, much less a story where the MC is frankly, stupidly overpowered and unafraid to do a Yujiro and flex their superiority on every significant figure in the series with their mere existence.
.....Congratulations?
The reincarnation of Joan D'arc being beaten up by a random, normal adult? That's embarrassing. Nearly as embarrassing as the Red Dragon Emperor getting beaten up by a club of ordinary Kendo girls over peeking on them changing..... dozens (maybe hundreds) of times. It's a wonder Ddraig and Issei ever lived that one down.
Yeah, these places are never as good as advertised. it's usually the same as anywhere else - just with very slightly different temperatures / weather patterns and architecture.
