How doesn't the man recognize that James is an orphan? Like, before James got there, that kid was surviving on the streets, presumably by himself, and probably stole from others to survive. Even if he's never seen that particular orphan before, he wouldn't be that kind, as others probably stole food from him before.

Unless it's important later i don't see why he needs to keep his rebirth secrit. at most people might think he's crazy, jokeing or dumb.
