I understand where you are coming from but I could list several steampunk stories that incorporate Lovecraftian elements into their setting, both web novels and paperbacks, so though LoTM popularized the concept in the online novel community, it isn't the only one that's done it. Also, in these stories, the MC always turns out to be sort of an investigator coz more times than not steampunk with Lovecraftian elements is the perfect setting for mystery-solving and the like. Some similarities are unique to LoTM in this story of mine, like how the MC has an elder brother and younger sister, or the characterization for MC's younger sister, or you could even try and compare the power systems However, even those similarities are thin at best and are only there to serve as bait for LoTM readers to give my work a chance.
Nah, if you want to use LoTM lore here, Vessina would be like a King of Angels type of character. Kinda like a guide that provides the tools needed to walk the path to godhood, she doesn't give godhood.
A lot of readers have been asking for an auxiliary chapter, hah, I guess I'm going to have to consider putting it up soon enough.
...I don't think anyone is arguing that fact 😂😂
Oh, it's related to SCP?... I'll check it out.
... No, he's a noble, I doubt he'd wish to do something as mundane as becoming a chef.
Yeah, I should adjust that so it doesn't cause confusion. Apologies.
Never really thought of that, might have to consider the implications. It adds a whole new hurdle for him to overcome. Perhaps he might wear a pair of hand gloves to help with that. [img=faceslap]
Alex works based on common sense and mind you, common sense in medieval times won't be the same as common sense now. So, his Domain, Evernight, was created by merging two different Domains, Domains that he knows (Shadow and Night), so it would be understandable that he would attempt to divide Evernight in order to try and see what would come of it.
Exactly.
The Devil doesn't make her a god, it gives her a path to godhood. The person that makes her a god is Lilith (supposed mother of devils), who is a being greater than a god.
Devils* Yeah, they are born with the power.
It's a planet
If that's what you're using to judge if this story is an LoTM ripoff, I guess Monarch of Evernight is also a ripoff considering it has both concepts. I'm not the Demon God's lackey, Academy Undercover Professor, Deep Sea Embers, Throne of Magical Arcana These are stories that utilize the same concepts in their story and that also helped in the build up of this story (along with some other works), so please, expand your viewpoint before assuming anything about my work. in the first place, Steampunk and Evernight did not originate from LoTM. Thanks and God bless.
Really man?
