I think he's that way because he doesn't want what happened to his wife to happen to his daughters . It was mentioned that the mom was a swords woman, so he might think his daughters are safer inside the home, taking care of the house and children

Is the story going to progress so slow ?Because I feel it has a nice plot, but it needs to be balanced with action rather than repeating her thoughts and feelings over and over again but using different words. Sorry for the harsh criticism. I like this story, truly I do! I only think it has space for more improvements.

I guess we now know where she gets her selfishness from. Seriously, no matter how selfish the antagonists in this story, they are no where near this mother-daughter dou! They are in a whole new level!
