Kane Ruth is someone who wanted to become an Explorer, those who used their Shards to explore the world and beyond, yet he could not, for he possessed a weak body. Or so it seems. On his 16th birthday, he received a dream from a deity, but one he did not recognize, and obtained a Shard. Getting what he wished for yet troubled by the appearance of the deity in his dream, Kane decided to follow his dream and become an Explorer, hoping to learn more of this mysterious deity and the power of his shard.
