The reason why Dumbledore's thoughts were centered around Harry Potter at the moment was because Harry Potter couldn't be allowed to get too powerful, if he was then who knows what could happen? The boy could end up becoming a dark wizard or even a dark lord, he certainly had the potential to be a powerful wizard if all of the Hogwarts professor's (not counting Snape of course) were to be believed.
