The story begins at Advanced Nurturing High School, a leading prestigious school with state-of-the-art facilities where nearly 100% of students enter university or find work.
The students there have the freedom to wear hairstyles and bring any personal items they want. The school was a heaven-like school, but in reality only the most excellent students were treated well.
The protagonist Shiro Akazaya is a D-Class student, where the school dumps "inferior" students to laugh at them. For some reason, Shiro was "sloppy" in the entrance exam, and was admitted to class D.
