I would say yes to aspects of the earth like sand, dirt, rocks, etc. However, metal feels like it would have to be categorized under a new type of magic to me, at least. So I would say Metal Magic is different from Earth Magic.

On a more serious/less passive-aggressive note. Gaining any skill in a few weeks is insane speed in Tensura. Most people only gain a few skills in their entire lives. Having a single Unique Skill puts you in the top 10% instantly. Skills require extremely specific circumstances to gain, and it's only the people with skills around gaining other skills that end up with more than a couple. The reason for Rimuru and everyone else's growth is entirely due to Great Sage, then Wisdom King Raphael, then Ciel. Ciel is actually the reason most of Rimuru's friends have Ultimate Skills at all.
