1. She's new to the system. Even the previous owner of the ring has no idea what a system is. 2. Her previous life in the apocalypse, she wasn't a warrior or an expert, or anything important. She wouldn't even qualify as a side character. She's just a regular girl with poor constitution, with no proper fighting skills, trying to survive. And it's mostly by running away from trouble ( all of that was stated in the previous chapters. Perhaps, you missed it.) 3. I wouldn't call that a forcible upgrade. The system doesn't give her anything for free. She earns her skills by killing creatures far more powerful than she is. Dragging their essence into the space for her to rematch is not a forcible upgrade either. She earned it. 4. She whines when things are looking difficult and grim, yes. It's a deliberate attempt from my end to add a bit of light-hearted moments. Whine, then get the work done one way or another. It's normal human behavior. Lastly, the system is not what you think it is. It's not helping her grow purely because it cares about some random human's survival. It needs her more than she needs it. And some decisions, it makes for its own benefit, not the Female lead's. So, no, I respectfully disagree.

In the apocalypse, he died because of the system. But before the apocalypse, the reason he was thrown into prison was because of his subordinate who betrayed him. There's more to his story. Evetything is going to be unraveled little by little.
