Yeah, thinking back about it, it seems like I have made a hole in the plot. I am just re-reading it with more care and it seems like I will have to pull the strings and make for it. I will try revisit some chapters and revise it. Really thank you!
Oh, I didn't make it clear in this paragraph. He is using his teeth to hold and let go of the arrow.
So, Henry needs to have everything under control and he can't raise generals and leaders away from his watch. He wants to control the knowledge and the people.
Even in a nation-state there is a necessity for hierarchy. Stahl is going towards a society based and founded on the king's image, with the army only under the king's hands.
As you know, almost all leaders had gone through the teaching of Henry, who imbued them with a lot of ideas and knowledge. The engineers and builders didn't go through such training, it's still on the way. It's like in the ancient roman empire, where the generals gave orders and designs and the builders had to accomplish the mission.
And, to dominate another kingdom, there is a must to destroy their representatives and symbols. All kingdoms and even nations nowadays are formed by symbolisms, take France for example, it's all those symbolism that generates patriotism. If you torn out those symbols, you can easily dominate them, incorporating your own symbols into that society.
So, I am going with a structure that is closely resembling the Empires of Earth, where the nobility is extinguished and the power is centered around the king. It's a hierarchy that gives all decision to the army and to the king, who is the chief of the army. In a noble system, the nobles can easily revolt and take the lands, and Henry understand that.
Yes, they are still researching, but the seal hasn't not been broken, it's only weakened to a point of allowing a single Winter Orcs to get out of there. It might take a few years for the seal to be undone.
Heyyy, Zoka!! Thank you for the feedback, I know I am rushing things, but it will soon become clear. The attack of Aritreia and Luak was supposed to be way longer, but after some plotting, I came to the resolution that we might have a bigger hand manipulating everything. And Luna's ark is about to begin and a lot of things will be uncovered and the strings will soon be shown.
I am trying to learn more about the culture and about famous generals of Islam, and see if I can insert it somewhere. I will surely do that in the future. I want to depict all great generals and sages of most cultures.
Heyyy Hirak! Sorry about the slow updates; it's quite tough to write while working and going to university. And although I would love to go into full writing mode, it's nearly impossible at the moment. It's something that I love and I won't give up haha. It's better to be update slowly than not updating at all. Also, a spoiler: This book is planned to have around 350 chapters. I don't plan on dragging the story out indefinitely. I began with a plan, and I will surely follow it through. The conquest arc is about to begin in full motion. And it will progress at a much more rapid pace, since Henry has already developed the basic foundation for the kingdom.
Hey! Yess! Thank you for the feedback! I will be sure to specify what type of cavalry they are in the next chapters. And, you were right in your previous assumptions, the Snowfire Horses are pretty much big horses with a powerful physical structure which makes them great for hybrid cavalry. They also possess incredible strength and speed despite their huge bodies, even more so in the snow. It all depends on who is leading them, they can adapt to be light or heavy. Of course, taking more advantage of their speed or power.
Hey Matheus! Thank you for the heads up! I think I have just corrected the chapter. Thank you very much!
Yooo, sure! So, Henry has indeed found countless books inside the library, magic books and Battle manuals. However, since he has never received any classes about magic, he can’t use them. For example, you might have a calculus book laying next to you and you know what the book is about, however, you can’t understand the knowledge on it and out it in practice. Magic is the same, and although he has countless books on magic, he doesn’t have the basics and doesn’t know how to utilize it. Furthermore, as a king, he has no time to teach his subjects, it’s better to have thousands if troops using magic then hundreds of books that can’t bet used.
Luke* Sorry, just fixed it! Thank you
Thanks for pointing that out!!! Really! It's of great help, I will be correcting it.
