Thank you very much for your concern and the detailed comment, it’s a very good point of view. But don’t worry, it’s not a matter of fear or indecision on my part. That was just a joke; my wife won’t hit me if I decide to write a harem (don’t tell her… is she behind me? orz). Hahaha, but seriously… obviously, she doesn’t like the theme since it’s mainly aimed at men, nor does my mother… and my daughter probably won’t be a fan in the future either. But at the end of the day, I have an audience, one that I hope, if possible, will allow me to provide for my family someday by just writing. So, if the majority of my readers want something, I’ll listen. If many complain about the previews, I’ll remove them. If they point out recurring mistakes, I’ll fix them. I think you need to separate what the narrator says from what the characters say, since they can obviously lie, have subtext, or be mistaken. I already explained in another comment that they were grouped based on their beasts' tiers, whether they have 30%, 40%, or 50% stat boosts. But inside the Tiers the selection is random. In Ren’s case, this doesn’t even matter much since they don’t even acknowledge his 10%. But Kai is in the 30% boost group. These are details that don’t need to be added at this point because they would slow down the narration. (It's not like it breaks the story or matters that much... still here I am to add in the comments for the small group that cares) But hey, feel free to keep discussing anything, it helps with my activity rankings. Maybe you’re forgetting that Taro didn’t start cultivating at the beginning of the semester but had to wait for the correct lunar phase, which was a month later. So, if you add that "slightly over 3 months", you end up with the evolution happening well into the 5th month... or, if you prefer to see it the other way around, around 4 months and 10 days from the 6 total the semester has. The creature lifted its head, then lunged downward, but some of the last section of its body remained upright(hope that helps). The beam wasn’t at full power either, nor was it enough to destroy all the remaining segments. Also about another comment of many you made (Thanks, it helps in the "Active" ranking a bit since you rant a lot)... The beast's characteristics, strength, and abilities follow a logical structure from previous worldbuilding scenes, they aren't just "for the plot." That said, if we want to be nitpicky, then yes, everything technically happens "for the plot" since this is a story that follows a structured sequence of events, skipping over the unimportant ones. Yes, they still need to serve but it's against the hordes not against people... unless there is an imminent war (Which can be soon, but Ren doesn't know that) Zhao is talking about being a soldier for life, a castle one.
