I've thought about this, but it just doesn't make sense that chakra will regenerate after performing the shadow clone jutsu. I mean let's say you create a shadow clone with 50% of your chakra. If you did regenerate chakra, once you fully recover and dispel your shadow clone you now possess 150% of your chakra. Then again, I might be missing something here. Because as you mentioned, sealing that shadow clone and forever losing half your chakra also sounds stupid.
