It's a crossover world - "In Detective Conan" is the problem. Aside from the main cast and a few supporting characters, everyone else is written as a one-off. That's the advantage of having a crossover. The original author could have just as easily dragged any number of characters to fit the role better. One example off the top of my head, Hoshino Ai fills the role and does it better - Sure, she died at 20 with 4yo twins, but that's just one example.

-_- The whole Yoko Okino stuff felt awkward as hell. I really hope it ends here and gets back to the good characters... She's just too bland of a character at her core, and doesn't really add anything the other character's don't do better. I blame the source material, Case Closed.

Is... this supposed to build tension? Why hasn't Kanna eaten the idiot yet?

I mean the start of the chapter more than the end; the whole "Natsu is forgotten on the train111!!1!1" skit. And the whole "The conductors can just start the train again!1!111!!!!!11!" skit. He could literally fly to the train, blow up the engine and there's nothing that could have stopped them from catching up - but actually not in the middle of a city. Those plot points kinda fall flat when the MC can fly at mach speeds.

... Why didn't he just fly to catch up to the train?

*Checks the stories tags again* ... If this relationship progresses, you might want to add the Harem tag. I'm conflicted - I was kinda looking forward to seeing which one he'd end up with, proper romance and all... But longevity considered... this route isn't entirely unreasonable either.

My cringe was already pre-loaded the moment he started talking about it... While I'm glad it didn't happen, a random high school student making these kinds of comments about medicine still feels really iffy.

... Dude, I have no idea how you failed that math to get that number. It's a little less than 7 full years, or 14 years going 12hr/day. 365 * 24 * 7 = 61320 hours 365 days for number of days in a year 24 hours for number of hours in a day
