The mc is made to be some smart person when the author or translator is an idiot. if you read until about chapter 27you will understand.when the outer city gets attacked the "veterans" with lots of battle experience can't handle it then he proceeds to pretty much win the fight single handedly.The nature of people in this novel is too stupid or naive.cliche lines that don't even make sense get added some times and the pacing is too fast.

Genetics don't cause a strong dislike or like for food although allergies can be passed I believe for example most of my family likes green beans I for one hate them with all my soul.
