No its mostly for this chapter since I want Ash to be stronger for the league. Kinda like character development for Ash. If i didnt do this, he would continue being the annoying kid he was in the show. From now, Ash will be more smart with battling instead of being a complete newbie.

Fair point but i saw it as: Gary was able to train a Blastoise that almost rivals Ash’s Charizard. And he did it by himself too. They’re also both 10 and left at the same time.

Yea my bad😔 I thought a 6 level difference wouldnt be much. I needed a reason for piplup to be almost one shot by just a critical hit. Maybe the rocks throwing is a stretch😆 but i think multiple hits of bubbles and pound would do quite a lot of damage like in the games.

I sort of want this to be similar to the show, so having powers seem kinda unnatural (Although i guess some people from the show are superhuman) Also im not gonna put a 4 moves cap cus thats lame lol. Probably gonna be that those who can’t learn a certain move, eg. Bite, will have a harder time to get that move. Whereas those who are able to, will learn Bite by just leveling up like normal.

It was between Chimchar and Piplup (cause who the fuck even chooses grass types). I always chose fire in all the Pokemon games I played - cause fire is dope. On the other hand, I also really like Piplup since it's final evolution is part steel type and well...my last name is Steel so I'm a bit biased. Plus the steel type just seems like a really powerful element compared to the rest. Hmm alright, I've got my decision.
