I don't think they would. Bell Cranel tried to get into multiple different Familias but they didn't accept him (I think it was because he was weak? idk I forgot). If they didn't accept a weak yet handsome young man that wanted to get stronger, why would they accept an ugly, weak, malnurished guy?
