In his view, karma is broken. It rewards fortune to the evil, those with many bad karma, and vice versa. He wanted to change that, exploiting it to become stronger, and then destroy the current karma to create a new one.
I think I mentioned it somewhere in the review, but the romance in this novel is not normal. Getting the 'deed' is not winning the 'heroine' over, it's only the appetizer. You'll understand far better in the next chapter[img=recommend]
