Because of the way he discovered their existence. Mikail is someone who will check out the whole thing the moment he can if he learns that there is a Pokedex out there with a lot of new Pokemon and in the current situation he can, so we'll see what he sees along with his reaction to it.🤷♂️

This can be seen as a spoiler.....or maybe not. He already has a bunch of platinum ghosts. Anyway, as far as an old Pokemon of his breaking through to platinum is concerned, it will happen around the end of his Hoenn journey or not long after that.

If those people appear strong then its because those official tournaments have age restrictions and these battles/competitions don't unless it is specified that there is an age limit

Unfortunately, he won't be able to find out since he doesn't have a System and Utopia's AI is pretty limited and without access to the multiverse

If there is a difference in orogress speed its probably related to either one or all of these points: Difference in potential, racial value, and/or the fact that higher stgae Pokemon can endure/take stronger supplements.
