I like fantasy novels. Maybe someday I'll write one and contribute to this site. We'll see.

Despite the many five-star ratings I've seen, the story doesn't deserve them. At the start, the story establishes the main character's personality before he is reborn, only to immediately scrap most of it and basically replace it with a different personality. The main character is given the Byakugan near the start. That's not bad, right? Well, apparently that somehow allows him to effortlessly memorize several hundred books in less than an hour. Easily understand the hundreds of techniques. And combine all of them to make the super ultra mega perfect version that no one else can. Now those of you with a functioning brain are probably asking yourself: "How does the Byakugan have abilities even REMOTELY related to that?" And the answer is, it doesn't. But congrats, you just put in more effort than the author did. Now nothing feels earned since the MC can effectively master all abilities. This takes away from the enjoyment since there's no struggle. It's just "Oh I can do this now, and I'm better at it than anyone who ever existed." If that wasn't bad enough, these are only the basic abilities given at the start, and the story all but promises, to throw in more later.
Jessie or James?
No, the skills only cost 1 point last time because they were weak frog skills.
The story is rather entertaining, and the adventure was interesting to follow along with. The pacing was good in some places although a bit too fast in other places. Still, it led to some plot events that were worth seeing so this can be forgiven. The grammar is rather shaky however. The massive jump in power right when he gets his stand is a kind of a turn-off. However, at this point, there wasn't really much on the planet that could be his enemy anyway. So I guess this negative aspect is at least not terrible. Then there's the near godly power that continues to grow. And to top it off, the many new concepts being thrown around left and right without giving the readers much time to adjust isn't great either. Honestly, at this point, I was just numb to the endless power-ups. I kept reading however, to at least see how it ended. I'll be clear, this makes quite a number of mistakes which isn't great, but it's still pretty good. Kinda like junk food, you know the stuff is bad, but that doesn't stop many from enjoying it. And I enjoyed this too.
Ain't no way Edo Tensei only cost 100. It should be at LEAST 1000.
I've actually written over 60 chapters of story, thanks. Rather amusing that you'd try and call me out for my lack of effort in writing when you yourself didn't bother to put in any effort into your response. :) Also, the author has DOZENS of 4 and 5-star reviews praising them. I doubt a negative review would actually demotivate them to stop writing, but if it did, then they'd need to grow much thicker skin.
Sasuke: "Orochimaru? Who cares about that creep? No I need to find a way to follow Fujin..."
Ikr?
The one star is more for balance to make the rating closer to what it actually is. If I had to give a real rating, it would be 4 or 4 and a half stars. There is real quality here, and aside from a few gripes listed below, it is honestly quite good. The story IS rather good most of thetime, I can certainly say that. Though it does have a bit of a rocky start and takes a bit of time to get good. Also, the romance is a bit cringy to be honest. Not only is the main character essentially a role player which feels rather awkward at times. Not only that, but the story follows the extremely overused cliche where the love interest is a non-human who's been treated so horribly by others that merely showing them common decency somehow means the world to them and makes them instantly start to develop feelings. And as usual, they start off as a servant/slave that is treated semi decently, until their relationship becomes something more. Also, the story is very good at giving details and descriptions. However, sometimes it goes overboard and drags scenes out longer than they need to be. Especially when the story constantly praises and fawns over the main character for being so beautiful, mysterious, special, and any other positive adjective you can think of. It's excessive. Despite all of this, it is still a very enjoyable story that is worth the read.
Thanks for the chapter. No harem though please. There really shouldn't be a harem, especially with how bad the author handled the possible addition of Jean. (No offense.) Jean: "Oh no, I accidentally mind-spied on Rogue and the MC's naughty time! Oh no, my clothes burned off in front of the MC! Oh no, the phoenix thinks we're together, how embarrassing!" Bruh, this is 6th grade rom-com BS. You're better than that author.
I'm giving the story one star, not because it deserves it, but because I've seen way too many mindless five-star ratings, so this is for balance. If I were to give an honest opinion, I would give the story about three stars. The progression of power that the main character gets is way too fast, so it doesn't feel earned or satisfying. This becomes even more broken when the main character obtains an ability that lets him steal all the powers and skills of someone who he is fighting. At this point, his growth isn't something that people can look forward to. Why would they? He barely has to put in any effort. Especially since it can be used 4x a day. This problem is a rookie mistake. In addition, there are some aspects of the story that really don't make sense. Like the Great Sage ability which is given an A rating, and yet it is somehow able to replicate something with an SSS ranking. Literally makes zero sense. Another downside is that the story explains way too much about the background and game details. I can understand trying to help others who haven't read the original story, but this just drags out the process and makes it more tiresome for those who actually have. Y'know, the story's MAIN audience?
It's an honest mistake, we've all been there...

8 days late, but no, he wasn't. He was a scheming genius who tricked and killed the king of the frost giants and would've annihilated their entire species if he hadn't been stopped.
Enough talk, commence with the punching!
