Tbh I dislike Dumbledore. He is a manipulate and two-faced person. He would be willing to sacrifice people for the "greater good". At the same time I don't believe he is a "good" evil, but an old man with a lot of past stuff on his shoulders and using the idea of any talented child has a good chance to become a Tom and needed to be in control of everything. Even willing to sacrifice himself as a stepping stone for Harry to solve his past mistakes.
