When you don't have to choose between waifu and meta cause this girl has it both.
I second this. I thought it would be fun but as the chapters go by, everything becomes more and more boring and my enthusiasm gets drained.
Why did the writing quality and grammar degraded a lot? It was fine before but it went down by a notch in this chapter.
Even with the changed protagonist name. This novel reeks of CN fanfic from miles, and with that comes all the bad things about CN fanfics. The MC was written as a naive and useless modern man, then in the span of a few chapters with bad decisions, transformed into a typical psychopathic CN MCs that, despite all his psychopathic tendencies, let WOMEN walk all over him like a doormat. Yes, women, because he won't take any bs from men but if it's a woman, he'll suddenly grow conscience for them even if they treated him like shit. Then he went from hating Scáthach for betraying him to suddenly glazing her, to the point of worshipping the very ground she stands on. So he's not just a doormat but also bipolar, an absolute beta. I don't know, but this is just too much wrongs and disgusting things in the span of a few chapters and the future is not looking good. As always, if an author managed to disgust you with their writing once, they can absolutely and will absolutely do it again. Man.. The only thing that gets this novel's rating to 2 star is the full score in update stability.
Went from completely hating to completely glazing. So he's not just a doormat psychopath but also a bipolar beta.
If it's a CN MC. They are either written as a doormat, a psychopath, or both. This one is a mix of both.
Honest review. The story is decently written, but it suffers from all the problems a story such as this may have. Following the canon is always an issue when writing a story, even more so if it's almost like the character was just inserted into the main crew without replacing anything/anyone. The problem with this one is that there are some spontaneous skips that feels so iffy, because, well.. what happened/should happen was pretty much what the same as the canon. Unfortunately, as I just said, the spontaneous skips will always feel off as it ruins the flow of the story. The development with Nami was fine too but went downhill with Nojiko's. Still acceptable since it would be a bit hard considering how little time he has for that, but it's something to consider with the future developments with the other girls. Build-up is important in romance, unless you take away the romance and just make it purely carnal, but even that has its own needed developments, albeit shorter.

I was talking about the movie in the gif which was a 2002 movie.
It's a very interesting premise copied from another novel, unfortunately, it's not even close to the original in any way. Character relationships, business competitions, and even regular character interactions appear comical. Sometimes they would appear exaggerated or brain dead for what seems to be an attempt to be funny or a poor attempt at painting a character in a bad light. Unfortunately, for a genre that is more grounded to realism, it takes from the immersion and lowers the quality of the story. What a story like this needs is a thrilling competent competitions, not some third-rate cardboard villain that you know will fail from the start. Another thing a story like this needs is proper interactions from people around him and reactions from the people influenced/touched by his games, directly or indirectly. Not some side-comments about MC's arrogance over and over like they don't have anything else to comment on. There's also the a glaring lack of insight for business that is a very important strength of the original. The sequence of events just move on without easing up to it. In the original, we get a proper planning and answers from the MC on business standpoint, whether it be to answer the actions of his also very competent competitions or other entities that are trying to one-up him and/or his business, or an action of necessity due to things actually progressing enough to warrant it or having a very good opportunity to do it. Here? It mostly just happens out of nowhere. Overall, I may be giving a harsh criticism, considering that the original had a very good foundation, and being inspired from it should have at least retained its good quality, unfortunately, I don't see any reason to read this when the quality is very much lower than the original. On a very unprofessional and unfiltered rant, any more of those character dialogues and I'm gonna start having a brain hemorrhage. I seriously can't muster up the strength to read more.
