Yeah, I honestly just stopped going on the website once I just kept going through setback after setback. I had so many things come up and I still haven't been able to get my laptop fixed. But I did just buy a keyboard to hook up to it so that I can type correctly. I plan on getting something new out in a few days or next weekend. I'm sorry about the lack of communication. I'm just glad to have balanced out everything in my life so that I can get back into writing.
The Universal Crafter ability really hasn't been explained all that much yet because Max doesn't actually know what it does fully. He doesn't know how gaining skills works for normal players so his only reference is how he's been getting skills so far. But overall skills are usually gained through performing specific actions and hitting hidden milestones. These milestones aren't things that Max has to deal with, instead, he has to figure out how the skill works to a degree(Or enough about the general field) to create a skill and level it up by improving his knowledge/understanding of it. This skill makes it to where there is no restrictions to the skills he can have, for instance he could gain other peoples class skills if he figures out how they work, but because of this he won't be able to get a lot of skills as easily as other people get them.
Great question. Currently, with him having 10 for most of his physical stats he is at the level of your typical athlete. He's not at the top of the standard human body but he is very fit. It would have been pretty easy for him to have gained the first 2-3 points in the stats but after that, it would have required real effort and time and when you could have used that time getting XP it's just not worth it. There is a way that some classes can go where they break the limit of the human body and can just continually train to gain stats but for now, it gets really hard to move forward without stat points or a lot of time(And some luck too).
I think it has to be up for a certain amount of days or have a certain amount of words in it. It may also have to be checked off by someone at Webnovel. Thanks for trying to vote though! It means a lot. Hopefully, it's available in a few days.
I'm happy to say that I'll be releasing 5 chapters starting tomorrow. I thought I would update you since you seemed interested. Thanks for commenting, it has given me a lot of motivation to continue writing. I went through some story ideas and found that most of them just felt off to me. I finally settled on a story about surviving in an infinite cave world of sorts. I'm super excited. I hope you have a great rest of your day!
I've worked on Royal Road before and it has been pretty useful. Sorry for the delay on the book, Life has been getting in the way the last few weeks. Hopefully, it will be out in 2 weeks. I think that should be enough for me to be satisfied with it.
Hey, sorry for the delayed response. This book will probably be discontinued sadly. I really enjoyed writing it but it hasn't been doing good at all when it comes to web novels standards. I'm treating this story as a learning experience and have been evaluating this book and my previous one to figure out how I could improve my writing style and create better works in the future. My previous book 'Infinite Evolution in The Apocalypse' did very well compared to any other story I had written up to that point. There was something about it that made it do better than my other works and I'm trying to pinpoint what that is while improving my writing style at the same time(Not making as many grammar mistakes and keeping a more organized story). I'm currently creating a new story, albeit very slowly, that will try and incorporate the best of both worlds hopefully. I'm working hard to create an organized world and story that is easier to work on than some of my earlier books while still holding some of the charms that came with them. It's going to be about a Golem / Construct / Robot that wakes up from its owner's control and gains sentience and a system. I'm having a blast writing up the concept for it and the character so hopefully, it will be a better reading experience than this. Sorry if reading this felt like a waste of time, I really want to continue this story but the stats I've got from it indicate that it's worse than almost any other book I've written before. Thanks for reading nonetheless, and I hope you find some better books!
I mean... 7 inches is quite insane... 4 inches is already quite big... probably in that ball park...
Thank you so much for your in-depth feelings on it so far! It means the world to me. I think the cringe lines(No excuses though) are from me being a relatively new writer tbh. I understand where you are coming from completely and I am trying to get better as I go but man is it hard. I do want to answer some of your statements however as I feel like it might be useful for other readers to know as well as yourself. I made a mistake when first bringing Tina into the story and I have tried to amend that by making her more tolerable. I, personally, like her character now though I understand others may not. The only reason she wanted MC to not attack the group at the hospital was that they were the ones that saved them in a sense. She loses this empathy quite quickly however and understands that survival is more important than trying to make the right choice in a situation. I noticed that almost all of the strong characters were related to Lucas so I have been trying to add some foreign characters that don't even appear within Lucas's line of sight in the meantime. I only wanted some characters to connect to him because I thought it would be good for the story in the short and long term. As for the high-level monsters appearing randomly... I have no excuse for... It was just me being a poor writer in the beginning. I try and explain some of the future ones and make explanations on why Lucas can find them but for the beginning, it really makes no sense with the night cat. I also plan on there being much more to Lucas's crafting ability but he actually has to develop as a person before he finally comes to the realization of just how powerful it can be. He is stupid. I'm trying to show growth but it will take time for his stupid monkey brain to progress to at least a middle grader's level lmao. The change should happen relatively soon after the current chapter I have written however so that is good.
That's an interesting concept. I think if I implement that into the story(Probably will later on tbh) it will require a trainer to do so. The person training you will probably have to have more points in that skill than you and the higher the stat the better they are at training you(Plus relevant experience in teaching and related skills).
I'm trying to add more likable characters later on but I have grown to like Lina personally. Thank you for trying to stick to my book. I am a relatively new writer and have very little actual experience so hopefully my newer chapters prove that my skill is improving.
