thats what not cultivating his core and treating his body like trash got him.....
yeah, debit vs credit option with card I think.
It's slice of life, eastern style urban fantasy, wuxia lite in a modern setting. It's surprisingly good and wholesome to read. Highly recommend it.
*Magnum opus
Didn't seem like a robbery, guy didn't ask for money, just charged up screaming and stabbing. Was he a jealous father/boyfriend of one of the cat-calling ladies? Was he after an underworld bounty? Was he triggered by Liam's aura, or the aura of the T3 metal? Dunno...but it would be nice to know a little more. The way Luan just shrugs and motors on sticks in my craw, it's very foolhardy of him and doesn't fit the profile of a reincarnated, wiser protagonist.
why does he not investigate this attacker at all? even a few moments to interrogate, especially with mind/soul search, could be worth it. there are clearly faction(s) in the shadows after him and his stuff. he might want to focus on cultivating for now, but making a list of known active threats would be wise, especially since his friends and family are not as invincible as him. He might be bulletproof, but is his Mom?
very shallow villain, not happy with it, could be better. like why did he not try to shmooze first? kidnap first, con-artist later is all out of order even for scum relatives.
I hope it doesn't, actually. Would be a good divergence from the original.
Will continue to read to see if the story is inspired from, or plagerized. I liked EER's premise but didn't care for some of the later developments, so I am currently hopeful this story takes the same launch point in a better direction.
Flower power?
