I like the cheat and how well it’s implemented in the world of danmachi, but I can’t say I’m much of a fan of the MC or their personality. Honestly if I saw the same setup with an MC that was a bit more serious and didn’t feel like they belonged in slapstick comedy, then it would have been one of my new favorite novels.
Good god, those first couple of chapters were so edgy that I thought I had accidently started reading another Uchiha fanfiction.
I was enjoying this novel for the first 40 or so chapters but then it started switching to a multiple pov novel which in small doses would have been fine but from chapter 40 to chapter 80 I think I have barely seen enough dialogue from the main character to make up one or two chapters total which is absurd when you think about it.
While I enjoy this story quite a bit it still has a few flaws that stand out that lessen that enjoyment. The first being the overuse of the status page, the author has been basically copy pasting the same long list of the MC’s status over and over again multiple times per chapter with usually only a minor change here or there. They should have at least shortened the status to only show the changes like just showing [16.5% —> 19.75] instead of showing something like [character name - xxxxxx] [race - xxxxx] [sex - xxxx] [entire magic list] [entire skill list and the individual paragraph long description of each skill] Doing that multiple times in a chapter really makes a person lose interest I’ve seen chapters where the same list was posted at least 5 times with practically no change except a single number going up by one or two points.
You know if someone were to grab this and actually put in a little work to edit out the mistakes and replace some of the names with something a bit more reasonable for the setting then this might make a interesting fanfic.
First and foremost I want to say that Grammar correction software shouldn’t really be considered as an AI being involved in the story so the author should just say that they’re using something like grammarly. It will get them a lot less hate from the people who are too ignorant to read past the words AI involvement. That being said I would recommend that the author do a larger chapter release if they’re planning on this being such a slow paced novel, I have read about 15 chapters and the two main characters have spoken less than 20 words to each other. I’d recommend releasing up to about chapter 35 and then continuing with a normal release schedule but that’s just my opinion.
That’s not what most people mean when they say they a novel involves AI, in most cases it’s them having the AI write the novel for them. My advice would be to just use something like grammarly and then just say that you used it rather than saying AI. It’ll get you less hate from people for no good reason. Just saying AI was involved leaves a lot up to people’s imagination and often times they’ll assume the worst possible scenario.
Chat group ✅ Reasonable world travel ✅ Mentions of Eromancy….. Wait a minute✅ All in all I’m looking forward to seeing where this fanfic goes from here!
Finally a chat group fanfic that I absolutely hate. It’s about time I found one, I feel like this is a weird mixture between a crackfic and the author’s weird pet play fetish. I barely made it to like chapter thirty-ish wanting to give it a shot but I’m finally saying goodbye to this hot garbage.
It’s going pretty good so far, never really watched arcane myself but I enjoy a good fanfiction nonetheless. I will say the quality of translation does drop a bit during chapter 25 as some of the characters names start getting misspelled.
