These mc always give such hypocritical statements while also wanting to benefit from it too. Literally went towards their clan to break their healing tower for his own selfish reasons then diss them for letting him get away while also giving him an opportunity boost as well. Shameless Chinese behavior which they all seem to want their own mc to imitate.

Like if he’s behaving and acting like the palace own member, they can justifiably treat him like their member and do whatever they want to him also. Mc’s always play the double edged sword tactic without ever getting their just desert. So annyoing and unrealistic from an intelligent point.

He’s still just a pawn tool for the rain palace, if he starts getting out of control wouldnt they just lock him up so he can’t cause ‘himself’ trouble anymore? Sounds like an smart and effective strategy the rain palace should do to him if you ask me.

Lastly if the emperor has any hand in it, why not just take care of the entire root problem and be done with it?
