my take on this was the same as above, Vikir mastered the 9th form so he can easily defeat the higher rank demons, another for the girls, the 10 demons like the other 62 can be easily defeated with physical strength, if their body is destroyed they lose, but comparing the 10 and 62, the 10 are more cunning than the 62 as we read the whole novel, we only know the 62 are stronger but no other details, but the 10 are much more prepared in their faceoffs than the 62, so basically the girls combined attack defeated that rank 55 with pretty much easily with Vikir just being there, they are confident to attack.
