So many people don't seem to understand his ability first he didn't eat humans brains or anything else they just had weird scenes showing him rubbing blood on his face to show his insanity, second his ability also made him hunger for more knowledge and power and only not using his ability made it stop, third he could even learn abilities by just looking at people at one point in time after his girlfriend who he was going to kill but later didn't than dating her but he gets mad when he finds out Peter's mom isn't his mom and than he goes off to kill his real dad and take his abilities but the point is that he doesn't need to take in some foreign element into his body such as their brains to gain their abilities he just understands information he receives.
