Don't want to review but i hope you read this author. The story was fi e honestly until he attends school. After that the flow isn't there anymore between chapters and a lot of the plot and dialogue just seem forced for the sake of reaching some storypoint(maybe to reference cobra Kai series more rather than diverge more). The whole bully and Devon scenes at the start of school seems out of place and especially forced. it sucks because there was indeed potential imo but after 5 consecutive chapters of the dip in quality I'm afraid I'll have to drop.

not sure if still being edited but the future chapters on their website( have to pay a bit to access ) took a serious dip in quality and mc name keeps constantly changing

looking at the reviewers posts they specifically look for harem novels to give 1 stars lol

though I would say isekai is loosely defined and there are many labeled isekai that do the same in terms of memories. I wouldn't necessarily say this isn't isekai just that it's not a traditional isekai(which it was never going to be as no traditional isekai would replace an existing character even in an au as that is a more sub-genre'd isekai

i can get behind this point of view and understand, as well as, mostly agree with why that would detract from the story for a lot of people. The 1 star review of barely 1 coherent sentence is what I have an issue with
