That theory has merit. The fact that every species evolves into a human eventually in Cultivation stories supports this.

That was a lot of words for a comment so I just skimmed it, sorry if I repeat or misunderstood. If humans naturally evolved on earth without an external factor then it is guaranteed that they will evolve in most other alternative worlds that haven't been altered in a major way. They might not be exactly the same but they should be close enough to count as a human sub species. The most likely thing that would change is history depending on when things started to deviate but you are just as likely that you would end up in a world that susan took a left turn instead of a right turn as you are that aliens invaded. 1 out of infinity is equal to 1/∞
