Low profile cowardice.

It's really not bad. The only downside so far is what always plagues Chinese novels- a cowardly protagonist. Always so scared of potential trouble and terrified of standing out, limiting their growth and future accomplishments... If it wasn't a novel, such spineless people would never amount to anything in life.

I'm giving it a high rating, because I like the fact that the protagonist is not the default cowardly Chinese template protagonist. Protagonist has balls, he's strong and doesn't feel the need to hide his abilities, which would have hindered his growth otherwise. Other readers are too used to spineless protagonists and have already started to think that being a coward and hiding your abilities is only natural. But no, in reality, it's not only stupid, but also boring to read about.

I disagree. It would be better to have a commander level skeleton to take charge before creating more soldier types. Or to make it simpler, 1 Tier 3 to command the Tier 2. Not only that, it would be better for his personal safety to have a competent Tier 3 bodyguard than a bunch of stupid tier 2. Don't forget that the protagonist is a coward and a weakling. He will focus on his personal safety, regardless of how silly it is. Chinese protagonists are usually cowards after all.

As with many other novels, the premise is good. But there are so many plotholes and contradictory statements. Like he thinks to himself that "It's fine if he knows, since he won't tell anyone" then proceeds to lie to his face. Ok, so clearly it wasn't fine? The system doesn't just give him feedback, but it also perfects his body. His body gets refined and his meridians widen etc. Basically the cultivation technique gets perfected. But later, we learn that he's actually holding back on advancing quickly, because he's worried about his "Foundation" being unstable. That came out of nowhere just to create an artificial limiter on the protagonists progress. There's also the beast cultivation. His beasts can advance by leaps and bounds and keep up with his cultivation just by receiving a few weeks worth of cultivation, but the protagonist needs hundreds of years of cultivation feedback to just be slightly ahead of his beasts. The biggest thing I have a problem with is that, unlike protagonists from other novels where they can fight above their own realm, this protagonist can only fight below his own realm. Even though he's a grandmaster at the point where I'm at, he still struggles to fight against those many levels below himself. And if it's someone at the same stage, he's certain that he'll lose and won't dare to fight. Heck, he even concocted a pill to save a heinous villain, because he was scared to fight someone weaker than him and stand up for himself... And that is with him having 3 divine beasts to fight along with him. So yeah, the protagonist grows fast, but he is undeniably quite underpowered and spineless. Another thing I hate is his blatant stupidity. If you hate protagonists with room temperature IQ, you won't like this MC. 9 out 10 fights, the MC will not even fight. Even if the enemies are so weak that he could kill them with a sneeze, he will still hide somewhere and let his pet beast slowly poison them to death. It's honestly boring how useless he is. At this point, I thought he would destroy the Shao family because he's already a lot stronger than them. But no, apparently he's not strong enough and needs to escape. They have like 1 grandmaster patriarch, while he is a team of 4 grandmasters, with 3 of them being divine beasts. Really, my guy? Really!? How fucking useless can you be. So yeah, those are some snippets of what to expect from this novel. Weak and brainless protagonist, who will bend over while bullied.

It has a good premise, but like many other novels, it gets ruined by a badly designed protagonist. There are also many plot holes. For instance, Hunter's Mind, a passive that limits his emotions so he can remain calm. It stops working randomly, because the MC still start crying for no reason, scream out in shock or just generally overreact to any little thing. It should by default also negate the negative aspects of his bloodlust characteristic, but it doesn't work there either. Overall, that thing only works when the author feels like it should, which just makes it annoying. Protagonist is weak as hell. He's also stupidly paranoid for no reason. My guy really thinks that smartphones can be tracked by anyone at will, but non-smartphones can't be used for tracking. They track your phone through cell towers, my guy. In other words, if you make a call, you get tracked. Doesn't matter if you have a smart or dumb phone. And this MC considers himself intelligent... Features you would consider basic for a system requires a vast amount of resources to unlock, so aside from improving his stats, the system can't do anything else for him. Basically nothing in this novel makes sense. Everyone acts super freaking weird. Like what kind of sportswear store even has ex-military bouncers to keep people who look poor out? What is this, ancient china? If the protagonist wasn't so stupid, weak and paranoid, the novel might be more palatable...

Oh, I'm very happy to hear that. I was about to drop it due to his spineless personality. He wants to live a peaceful life. The way to do that is to make sure nobody dares to mess with him. If he pretends to be a weak pushover, then everyone will mess with him. It's human nature to bully the weak and fear the strong. If you think pretending to be weak will let you live a peaceful life, you are dumb beyond belief.

And why the hell would they poison him in the first place? People like you is why cowardly protagonists are so common in novels these days. How are you even a protagonist if you're scared of every potential risk? Might as well never leave your house and never amount to anything in life. I can't stand such spineless wimps.

I hope you're joking when you imply that being patriotic is a sign of racism. How many American novels do you read where they praise China and vilify America? Oh, not a single one? But it's only racist if China does such a thing, right? It's fine if every other country does it. Yeah, there's racism alright. And it's coming from brainwashed losers like all of you.

1. It's the other way around. OP to the point of actually making it an enjoyable read. If only he wasn't so cowardly and hiding his identity all the time... 2. Haven't encountered any up until now. But then again, I'm not a sensitive little bitch, so it's not something I really pay attention to. 3. Have also yet to encounter any sexism. But again, what you consider sexism... probably isn't. 4. Isn't that ironic. Sounds quite racist to me.
