Your description of the Novel sounds pretty good to me. I like "Carefree Life" Xianxia novels the most :D Harsh fighting and surviving monsters in a forest to collect beast cores? Nah. Having one of the group fight monsters to gain experience, while the others collect water, fruits and make food with a legendary form-changing god-weapon that is almost exclusively used as a pan? Yea :D

After reading lots of Xianxia novels, if I ever visit China, I will make sure not to come into conflict with anyone. They'd probably send a twenty men hit squad after me immediately.

It's weird imagining such violent and bloodthirsty people, especially in a university environment. Must be a Chinese thing.
