If he were to slowly introduce gold and sell it to numerous different people, the effects on the economy could be diminished. At the same time, he is the world's premier alchemist, with over 600 years of experience. He could sell any number of magical products if he wanted money.

Wow... I was wondering what took him so long to not realize the connection. It turns out that Time being broken puts distance between the two events, preventing him from understanding they are connected.

One can be biologically immortal and still have reproductive systems. Marvel is full of such characters.

Isn't all time travel like that in HP though? You can go back, but anything that happens was meant to happen? The Elder Blood may have changed that considering he was able to go to a possible future timeline, but going into the past doesn't mean he is ruining the future.
