Zenkai Boost in One Piece?

Shinjuku looked at the sea with a confused look on his face, he looked around and in his confusion, his eyes widened as he saw a familiar figure running around on the shore.

"Luffy!" Shinjuku said out loud in confusion and shock, Luffy who was running around trying to train stopped and looked at Shinjuku in confusion, but he smiled brightly and he ran at Shinjuku.

"Hey, how do you know me? I never saw you on the island before" Luffy stopped just right in front of Shinjuku, his eyes held no malice or conspiracy.

"Wow..." Shinjuku looked into the eyes of Luffy with awe, in the modern world on earth, whenever he looked into someone's eyes, all he saw was acting and fakeness, or people just trying to fit into society.

But the eyes of Luffy were different, it was overflowing with kindness, Shinjuku came back to his senses as he heard the stomach of his gurgle, he looked down at his stomach in embarrassment while Luffy laughed.

"Now that you mention it, I am kind of hungry too, follow me, and I will bring you to a restaurant!" Luffy grinned before he started running towards the Makino's bar, seeing luffy getting further, Shinjuku decided to follow the only character he trusted.

Luffy does not have an ounce of evil in his heart, no matter what, he can trust him, with determined steps he started running after Luffy, but it soon showed that he overlooked a problem.

"Huff... huff... huff" Shinjuku only ran for 3 minutes and he was out of breath already, Luffy looked back and he was confused as to why Shinjuku was so slow.

Luffy slowed down and in another 3 minutes they both made it to the bar of Makino, inside the bar, there were plenty of people laughing and drinking, a very good and kind atmosphere.

Luffy jumped inside the bar and Shinjuku heard a round of laughter as people called out Luffy's name, he suddenly became nervous, but before he could think, a hand flew out and gripped his shirt.

"Whaaaaa!"

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" People laughed even harder as they saw another person fly into the bar and then land on his face, Shinjuku was dumbfounded as he looked at Luffy's retracting hand.

"Y-your arm!" Shinjuku said dumbfounded, he knew that Luffy had a devil fruit, but seeing it in real life was something else entirely, it was like seeing the hand of a gummy get pulled.

"Oh, this? I am a rubber man, shishishi~" Luffy laughed as he pulled his cheek out, Shinjuku stared in shock as half of Luff's face was pulled a meter away from the other side.

"Ha ha ha! kid is shocked!" The people laughed as they looked at the shocked look on Shinjuku'sfacee.

"So what is your name?" Luffy asked with a smile as he sat down on a chair in front of the bar, Shinjuku walked forward and sat next to Luffy, he was still trying to catch his breath from all that running.

"My name is Shinjuku, and I am 17 years old," Shinjuku said with a smile while he extended his hand for a handshake, Luffy grinned before shaking the hand of Shinjuku.

"My name is Luffy, and I am 16 years old, Welcome Shinjuru, Shishishishi~" Shinjuku gained a tick mark above his head as Luffy mispronounced his name, but he just shrugged.

Trying to argue with Luffy might as well be like arguing with a stone itself, suddenly Shinjuku heard his stomach gurgle and he looked down in embarrassment.

"HA HA HA HA HA!, Makino, give the boy some food, I will pay for it" Suddenly a loud laughter was heard in the bar as everyone raised their hands, Makino who was looking at all this smiled, and he went to the stove and started preparing food for Luffy and Shinjuku.

"So Shinjuku, why did I never see you before?" Luffy asked while he was jugging a cup of orange juice, Shinjuku was suddenly nervous, but he calmed down and then told his story.

"The ship I was traveling on was attacked by those damn pirates!< because of that I lost my money and belongings and I got stranded on the shore until I saw you" Shinjuku gritted his teeth as he said this, and this was the truth as the memories he received from the body are those.

The bar suddenly was filled with pity, but that quickly got away and then everybody tried to comfort Shinjuku with jokes and laughter, Shinjuku looked at this in shock, in the modern world, if somebody showed sadness, people would just say 'Man up, pussy'.

"Hey Shinjuku, what is your dream?" Luffy suddenly asked with a smile as his straw hat covered his eyes, Shinjuku paused and he looked at the people who barely just knew him, they showed comfort and a willingness to help him.

His heart was suddenly filled with protectiveness, his eyes lit up with purpose and he felt his spirit become lighter and more condensed, unaware to himself, a green wave of conquerors haki escaped from his body.

Boom!

The bar was suddenly quiet as everybody fell asleep, except Makino and Luffy who were only amazed, he did not know what it was, but he knew that Shinjuku did not mean to attack anyone.

"I got conquerors haki!" Shinjuku stood up in shock, excitement written all over his face, he turned towards Luffy, and with a firm tone, he told him his dream.

" I want to protect the smiles of everyone, I dream that one day, everyone in the world can at least smile once with no regret," Shinjuku said with a smile as a smaller wave of green energy left his body.

Luffy smirked with his eyes covered by the straw hat, he knew from the moment he saw Shinjuku that he was different, he looked innocent compared to everyone on the island.

Because no matter how innocent someone on this island is, everybody has at least killed an animal, but Shinjuku? It was like he had never even fought once.

"So what are you gonna become?" Luffy asked with a competitive smirk, if Shinjuku wants to be a pirate then he is gonna get a tough opponent, and if he becomes a marine then even tougher.

"I want to make people smile, and I can't do that being a pirate"

"So I will become a Marine!"
