Deep down, Bryce knew he shouldn't have gotten upset at Jenna's question. It wasn't what she said as much as how she said it.
He knew things were different now and he had to wear her down even more slowly than he had the first time. He had already been planning on them having separate rooms since they were a couple in nothing but name right now but the way she asked it cut him to the core.
She sounded nervous. Like sharing a room was the last thing she ever wanted to do.
What exactly was her problem? She had loved him once; he KNEW she did. Enough that she named her new identity and their son after him and told Wesley good things about him on the rare occasions he did get brought up.
